How does the setting influence the conflict and the resolution of the plot?

The boy Sam has a lot of brothers and
sisters so he runs away and goes to t
he forest and starts to live on his own.

Since he starts to live in the wild he
meets a pet bird and names him Frightful.
Also he meets a school teacher that
got lost on a field and finds him and
they become friends.

The fact that Sam decided to live the woods is the most important thing because if he just lived in the a town then everyone would know were he lives and would not come and try to find so that is why the woods are the main place to be in the story.
